2026 Tentative Rec League Schedule & Info

 

All dates and info are subject to change, but here is the current plan for the 2026 Seekonk Girls Softball Season:

 

LOCATIONS 

All Home Games are played in Seekonk at Cole Street Fields (Martin School)  

 

 

PRACTICES / GAMES - WEEKLY SCHEDULE (6U, 8U)

Instructional Division (6U) & Junior Division (U8) 

• 1 Weekday Game, 1 Weekend Game, 1 Practice day per week

• All games at Cole Street Fields in Seekonk - these divisions do not play "road games" against other towns.

 

PRACTICES / GAMES - WEEKLY SCHEDULE (10U, 12U, 14U)

Minor Division (10U), Major Division (12U), and Senior Divisions (14U)

• 1 Weekday Game, 1 Weekend Game, 1 Practice day per week.

• These divisions will have crossover play and are likely to play a few games in neighboring towns, in addition to games at Cole Street Fields (possibly Rehoboth, Dighton, and Swansea - exact details TBD)

 

The practices usually start in beginning-to-mid April depending on the weather and when the town gives us the official go-ahead to use the fields. 

 

SEASON DATES

The season would tentatively begin the week of April 27. The season usually ends the second week of June. There are no rec games scheduled on Memorial Day Weekend.

 

EQUIPMENT

All players will need a fielding glove and cleats.  The league supplies bats and balls. We are recommending that all players provide their own helmets for sanitary purposes. It is recommended that Minor and Major Division players wear fielding masks, especially in the infield.  

 

UNIFORMS

All players will receive a team uniform shirt to be worn at all games. Stirrup-printed socks will also be provided.  Players provide their own pants, which can be anything that is comfortable to play in (and something that can get dirty) - players typically wear things such as actual softball pants, sweatpants, or leggings.
